The expansive playground in Grand Theft Auto 5 is the ideal, if difficult, environment for modders to take advantage of. They have completely destroyed Los Santos. By pulling over and agreeing to a verbal reprimand, you can avoid receiving a one-star Wanted level in the game’s police department. Turn the tables and work as a police officer, searching the city for crimes to put an end to (albeit in potentially illegal ways). Even going all-out as Batman is an option.

Since the first release of GTA 5, technology has advanced significantly, and this list represents some of that. Here is an updated list of the top GTA 5 mod menu because Los Santos now features model swaps, redesigned maps, gang warfare, VR (because I adore VR), and better performance with upscaling.

You should first read our helpful tutorial on installing GTA 5 mods before continuing. If you adhere to it, you’ll have a solid foundation for working with the several files below.

In addition to the instructions on that page, I’d advise you to read the mod’s website and readme files very carefully because they frequently contain several adjustments, incompatibilities, and other things that might easily catch you off guard. Additionally, I’d advise you to simply add one or two mods at a time and alter the game lightly. Under the weight of an errant add-on, GTA 5 may crumble. Additionally, Rockstar has made it abundantly clear that single-player mod usage in GTA Online will result in player bans. Therefore, before playing GTA Online, make sure to uninstall any of the following mods. Let’s start.

Even the most cautious motorists in Los Santos will occasionally bump into a police car and wind up having to dodge the Pac-Man-like police response, committing far more terrible crimes in the process. Better Chases+ and Pull Me Over will help to some extent to address such problems.

The police will be on the lookout for a number of low-level offences using Pull Me Over. The police will try to pull you over and issue you a ticket for driving while using a cell phone, running red lights, going the wrong way, and other infractions. It’s a nice mod if you like the idea of driving sensibly in Los Santos and avoiding manhunts for trivial infractions.

In Better Chases+, the police response when you refuse to pull over is explained in more detail. Your actions are now receiving a wider range of acceptable reactions. In a one-star police pursuit, you won’t be shot; instead, you’ll be taken into custody after they pull you out of the vehicle. In fact, before they can use fatal force against you, the police typically need to believe that you pose a threat to their lives.

After that, things become more complicated. The police will be able to identify you, the vehicle, and run a trace to determine whether the vehicle has been stolen at two stars. However, they won’t try to stop you by driving erratically. In order to prevent them from restarting the car if they spot you during the chase, you’ll need to abandon the car and change into a new clothing. You won’t be recognized, though, if you wear a helmet, a mask, or have tinted windows. You’ll receive a thorough record of your crimes and any potential police responses, allowing you to determine just how far you can push the authorities before they start performing PIT maneuvers or turning to helicopters and lethal measures.

Lucasvinbr’s Gang and Turf Mod

With the Gang and Turf Mod, you can drastically reduce the level of safety on the streets of Los Santos if it feels a little too friendly. You can participate in gang wars, as opposing gangs battle for control of territories, same like in GTA: San Andreas.

Your gang is largely under your control. You assemble your street soldiers’ equipment, register cars, and recruit members. On the map, rival gangs are marked for you to engage in combat with. It is worthwhile to fight for each zone because it produces passive income for the person in charge of it. As you play, the other gangs will disperse around the area, resulting in an ever-evolving struggle over the city.

The ongoing conflict between the gangs adds a lot more excitement and life to the world. You could unintentionally find yourself surrounded by opposing gang-bangers due to the constantly changing map. A massive conflict between groups of NPCs will start when you call in reinforcements from your own gang. The mayhem is more intense than the normal violence in GTA V.

LSPDFR’s LSPD First Response

Maybe you’d truly want to side with the strong arm of the law and, gasp, help put an end to dishonest hoodlums instead of leading a life of crime. This is made possible through LSPD First Response.

You are given a uniform, a badge, a gun, and a scanner by LSPD First Response, along with the request that you defend and assist the city’s residents. It has a variety of features, including a functioning police station interior with a locker room and jail cells, a “Stop, Identify, and Arrest” system that streamlines the process of apprehending or releasing individuals, and gunpoint takedowns.

It’s important to keep in mind that because we’re dealing with Los Santos, the largest benefit of joining the police is undoubtedly that you lose your vulnerability to the city’s desired level system. In this case, it is important to accept righteousness, as it were, with a grain of salt.

A long-haul vehicle from the GTA 5 mod “Trucking Missions”

You occasionally need a respite from the commotion. As we can easily see, finding peace and quiet in Los Santos is difficult, but the open road is the best place to look for it. Carrying a load through the arid backstreets of Blaine County or wherever your most recent contract sends you roaming has an almost soothing quality to it. The Trucking Missions script mod offers the ideal option to make some additional money while also escaping the confines of the city, setting you up with an office headquarters just west of Sandy Shores.

To make the mod functional, you must update it with Trucking Missions Revised. This also expands the default collection of missions by a couple.

J10’s Railroad Engineer

Another method to escape the stressful streets of Los Santos is to interrail, which is a favorite hobby of seasoned travelers. But isn’t it a little monotonous? It can be a little annoying to have your ear bent while hitchhiking by a chatty trucker with a borderline personality condition, but at least he’s got character. To and fro travel is as repetitive as it gets, therefore it’s a great shame that GTA V doesn’t give players more control over the rail system.

By providing you with a cap, a whistle, and full control of the vehicle, Railroad Engineer alters that. Derailment is now possible, which means you’ll break every regulation in the engineer’s manual as you send freight trains and passenger trams alike plummeting at full speed from their rails into the earth below. As the last parenthesized half of this mod’s title quite strongly suggests. The question is, how many cars can you simultaneously blow up in one session. Make the morning commute more exciting.

The famous Dieter F. Uchtdorf statement, which has appeared on millions of greeting cards and wellness memes worldwide, reads, “So frequently we become so focused on the finish line, that we forget to appreciate the road.” The destination is really what matters, therefore forget the trip, forget the trucking, forget the hitchhiking, forget the trains, I say.

The Raven Rock and North Yankton mods bring new places for you to kick back and relax in and explore. They depend on the Map Editor mod, which is a prop-spawning tool and excellent fun to tinker around with in and of itself.

In reverse order, North Yankton allows you to fly to the snow-covered town where the game begins, where you can now wreck havoc while battling frequent snowstorms; Raven Rock includes a whole new island that is home to a massive military base and a mysterious underwater tunnel leading to “a special place at the bottom of the ocean.”

Vehicles XMOD Jetpack

Jetpacks are added to cars thanks to a game called Vehicles Jetpack, so if you want to get somewhere a little bit faster, you can use the aerial highway bypass. This mod obviously has a similar aesthetic to the airborne vehicles from the Back to the Future movies, which other similarly themed mods like this and this also aim to imitate.

JulioNIB’s Batman and The Predator

For GTA V, there are a ton of superhero scripts available. Playing as a wholesome Avenger or Superman, in my opinion, doesn’t accurately represent the reality you’re in. No, you need to be in the dark, dressed in shades of grey, and perhaps looking for random people’s spine cords.

You can beat everyone in Los Santos to within an inch of their lives thanks to Batman. The Dark Knight can still flip, kick, punch, and grapple anyone who dared to defy his presumptive authority, though not quite as skillfully as in his Arkham-based action. Though still in development, it can be played.

You may also become a Predator and act completely evil. With the help of this script, you may play out Predator 2 and cloak, blast, and stab your way through the residents of Los Santos. If you want Danny Glover to know where to locate you, you can even dangle the skinned corpses.

THEAETIK’s Complex Control

Complex Control meets your very specific needs if you wanted to use base GTA V for a roguelike action game that plays like a battle royale. Overall, it’s rather astounding that Los Santos is used as the location for a massive game of hide-and-seek that involves violence. Additionally, it is exclusively single-player.

The game begins with you driving towards the city with a random weapon kit. Just after you spawn, the other “players” (AI controlled) parachute in. A new zone appears every few minutes, and you have to be there to fight everyone else off. It’s a challenging game that requires entirely new talents. You can teleport into and out of danger, and you can also use a pair of huskies to help you in the battle. You must locate and occupy the winning zone in order to prevail. As your character continues to survive from one round to the next, a progression system will open up better powers for you to use. But with just one defeat, it might all be lost.

GTA V Remastered: Larcius Improvements

Want a more vibrant world? Remastered GTA V: Los Santos is made to feel even more alive by enhanced builds that add clutter, trees, and other features to the game’s setting.

It’s challenging to express the effort that went into it in words, but fortunately, the comparative trailer below demonstrates what the world would look like if it were designed for more contemporary platforms. The topography has been greatly varied, and flora has been added to help break up the metropolis.

Vlad’s Real Californian Architecture

Actual California Architecture will introduce authentic items, buildings, and more to Los Santos if you’re sick of the pun-based substitutes that GTA V provides for the real world. Recognizable structures and signs, such Compton City Hall and the West Hollywood Sign, will be displayed on billboards as actual advertisements. Though it’s still under construction, a lot of work has gone into improving the game’s setting.

Installing VisualV is the quickest and easiest way to enhance your basic game. A lot of atmospheric effects have been updated. Although the weather and lighting in GTA V have always been great, VisualV will modernize them. The mechanisms for weather have undergone a significant overhaul and have been completely redesigned. Storms, rain, and fog are all represented more spectacularly. New and improved clouds have taken their place. Even the moon has been adjusted, and it now rises and sets at the proper times.

FSR for GTA V by NarutoUA

Rockstar’s game does not officially support AMD’s FidelityFx Super Resolution technology, which upscales the image and enables you play games at reduced resolutions. It is hidden beneath the hood in the port known as GTA V FSR. With it, you can run the game in “performance mode” at 0.5x (half-resolution scaling up) and “quality mode” at 0.75x (three-quarter resolution scaling up). Each improves performance while maintaining clarity.

LukeRoss00’s R.E.A.L. VR mod

Although I wouldn’t actually play GTA V in virtual reality, I do enjoy loading up Los Santos and exploring. With the R.E.A.L. mod, you can explore Los Santos in first-person virtual reality. There are the typical problems. You are forced to use a controller because the hands cannot be tracked in motion. The ideal strategy is not to play it that way, but you can. Because of this, I’ve been spending my time simply driving while listening to music and experiencing a sense of size and space that was before inconceivable.
